Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant Location: Stockport Start Date: October Salary: £92.63 - £115 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a small and nurturing Alternative Provision in Stockport. The setting provides a supportive environment for children with SEMH needs who can display challenging behaviours and require consistent, patient and positive support.

The setting is looking to take on an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant on a long-term, full-time basis from October. The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will support pupils with their learning, social and emotional development, using effective de-escalation strategies and positive behaviour management to help pupils remain engaged and regulated.

The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children and young people with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours
• Strong knowledge and experience of de-escalation strategies
• Experience implementing positive behaviour management strategies
• Team Teach qualification is highly desirable
• A calm, resilient and nurturing approach
• The ability to build positive and consistent relationships with pupils
