Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Monmouthshire, Wales

Salary: 92.59

Employment Type: Full-time - Monday to Friday - 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team, located in Wales. This role involves providing high-quality teaching and learning support to pupils, with a focus on promoting emotional wellbeing and fostering independence within a nurturing environment. Our team works closely with the Local Authority to deliver a service that prioritises pupil wellbeing and achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils with a wide range of learning needs to enhance their educational experience
• Assisting in enabling pupils to gain independence and participate fully in the curriculum and school life
• Supporting the health and wellbeing needs of individual pupils through targeted interventions
• Contributing to the school’s procedures for promoting high levels of attendance and engagement
• Participating in professional development programmes centred on trauma-informed and restorative practices

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
• Experience working with pupils with diverse learning needs in an educational or care setting
• Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS Check and relevant safeguarding training
• A compassionate approach and strong communication skills
