Job Description
September 2026 start – recruiting for a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to work with KS1 children in a mainstream classroom, with a particular focus on supporting children who have learning difficulties and who struggle with the school day.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 08:30am to 03:30pm (term time only).
Teaching Assistant Role & Requirements
- Support teaching and learning with children in a KS1 classroom.
- Provide targeted support to children with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, Speech & Language needs).
- Assist in delivering engaging and differentiated activities.
- Promote a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Help children develop confidence, independence and social skills.
- Experience and skills to work with KS1 children.
- Understanding of SEN support strategies within a classroom.
- A patient, proactive and nurturing approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Happy to assist with personal care if needed.
- L2/L3 Teaching Assistant/Care or SEND qualification.
