The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging learning activities
- Support students with SEND and additional learning needs
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Assist pupils in developing communication and social skills
- Help students access the curriculum and achieve their individual targets
- Support children and young people with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and Complex Needs
- Encourage independence, confidence and personal development
- Provide personal care support where required
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families and school staff
