About the Position:
We are looking for a Team Leader - Night Support and Security to join our team and contribute to the safety, security and wellbeing of our residents and the effective delivery of our night support services.
As part of the Team Leader - Night Support and Security role, you will work within the Housing department, ensuring the safety and security of YMCA residents, premises and staff while providing effective leadership and support to the night team.
This role will involve:
- Being responsible for the ongoing leadership, supervision, training and support of the night team.
- Being responsible for the safety and wellbeing of all residents across all YMCA accommodation.
- Supervising the security of all YMCA housing premises and all related programme, public and office areas.
- Organising the night staff duty rota to ensure that accommodation is always staffed with appropriate Night Support personnel, and ensuring that the Housing Lead, Finance and HR staff are aware of extra hours worked and absences by the night team.
- Handling emergency situations relating to buildings and individuals in an appropriate manner.

Personal attributes:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and committed Team Leader to supervise the security and safety of YMCA premises and complex clients during the hours of 9.00 p.m. to 8.00 a.m., and to be responsible for the support and leadership of the Night Support and Building Security team.

Additional information:
The role has a statutory, occupational requirement to ensure the safety and welfare of all children, young people and adults at risk that they may come across using our services. The post holder will take responsibility for ensuring safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk as a priority and follow both YMCA Bournemouth safeguarding policy and BCP Safeguarding Children Partnership and Dorset Safeguarding Children Partnership statutory guidance.
Employment will be subject to satisfactory references, right to work checks and a Disclosure and Barring Service check. If the role involves regulated activity with children or adults at risk, your employment will be subject to an Enhanced level DBS check prior to commencement date. All other applicable roles will be subject to a Basic level DBS check prior to commencement date.
