We are currently recruiting on behalf of a residential childcare provider for an experienced Team Leader Residential Childcare Worker to join a dedicated team supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs.

The Role
As a Team Leader, you will support the management team while leading shifts and providing high-quality care to children and young people within the home.
You'll help create a positive, structured and supportive environment that encourages young people to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support residential care staff during shifts. Act as a positive role model for both colleagues and young people. Support children and young people with their emotional, social and practical development. Encourage attendance and engagement with education and activities. Promote independence and life skills development. Maintain accurate records, reports and care documentation. Build positive relationships with families and external professionals. Ensure safeguarding and welfare remain a priority at all times. Participate in activities, outings and programmes alongside young people. Contribute to a safe, welcoming and homely environment. What We're Looking For
Essential
Experience within residential childcare or a similar setting. Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards). Excellent communication and report-writing skills. A caring, resilient and child-centred approach. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting positive outcomes for young people.
Desirable
Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs. Understanding of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards. Full UK Driving Licence. Salary & Benefits
