Owen Daniels are supporting a leading manufacturing business in their search for a Production Team Leader to join their growing operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Team Leader or Supervisor from a manufacturing environment who enjoys leading people, driving performance and ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Job Description
Lead, motivate and develop a team of production and assembly personnel. Coordinate daily production activities to ensure output targets and customer delivery requirements are achieved. Manage and maintain production schedules, balancing resources and priorities to maximise efficiency. Monitor productivity, quality and performance metrics, taking corrective action where required. Support inventory management, stock accuracy and material availability. Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and promote a safe working environment. Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing and 5S activities. Work closely with Planning, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain teams to resolve production issues and improve performance. Support training, development and performance management activities within the team. Assist with problem-solving, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions. Production Team Leader Experience & Skills
Previous experience as a Team Leader, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor or similar leadership position. Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment. Strong production scheduling and planning experience. Proven ability to lead and develop teams. Experience monitoring KPIs and driving operational performance. Understanding of inventory management and production processes. Experience using ERP/MRP systems. Strong problem-solving and organisational skills. Good communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across multiple departments
