As an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Architect, you will assist in implementing and supporting large-scale cloud implementations on AWS. Other duties include architecting and implementing cloud solutions for different applications, automating cloud operations and cloud deployments.
ResponsibilitiesImprove cloud capability by creating and implementing cloud application patternsDesign and implement approaches to move applications and workloads to the cloudWork closely with business leads and product owners to understand solution requirements and identify architectural patternsMonitor compliance of cloud resources against industry guardrails and best practicesResearch and propose solutions for AWS data transformation, data connections, operational frameworks and application integrationWork closely with lead architects and engineers to create and maintain architectural templates and operational artefactsWork with DevOps and engineering teams to develop solutionsContribute to proposals through technical expertiseShare technical expertise and guidance across the organisationQualifications Essential CriteriaExperience & Cloud Architecture5-7 years of hands-on experience working with AWS CloudProven experience working as an AWS ArchitectDemonstrable experience conducting AWS Well-Architected Framework ReviewsCloud Platforms & KubernetesProven experience designing, building, deploying and operating production-grade EKS/Kubernetes clustersExperience delivering highly regulated, secure, scalable, multi-tenant platformsDemonstrated understanding of secure-by-design cloud architecturesDevOps / DevSecOpsDemonstrated knowledge of DevOps and DevSecOps methodologiesExperience implementing fully automated CI/CD pipelines, specifically using GitHub ActionsHands-on experience embedding security controls throughout the delivery pipelineInfrastructure & AutomationInfrastructure as Code experience using TerraformExperience using Helm ChartsProficiency in Python and Bash scriptingHands-on Linux experience (RHEL, CentOS)Preferred CriteriaCertificationsAWS Certifications at Associate and/or Professional levelSecurity & EngineeringSecurity engineering experience and awarenessPrevious hands-on engineering backgroundExperience with CDK, TypeScript and/or advanced Terraform usageSoftware DevelopmentExperience with at least one software development language such as: PythonNode.jsJava.
