Technical Business Analyst (Digital Engineering / Software Engineering) - Reading (Hybrid)
Location: Reading, Berkshire (RG2)
Rate: Up to £68.80 per hour
Clearance: Active SC required
Overview
We're looking for a Technical Business Analyst to support digital engineering and software engineering activities across sensitive MOD and aerospace programmes . You'll take ownership of requirements definition and governance across the engineering lifecycle, ensuring full traceability from stakeholder need through to implementation and verification.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture, analyse, document, and maintain system and software requirements
- Manage baselines , change requests , and impact assessments
- Maintain end-to-end requirements traceability across lifecycle artefacts
- Support requirements decomposition and allocation activities
- Participate in reviews, validation, and verification activities
- Coordinate with software development , systems engineering , and V&V teams
- Support governance activities including audits and traceability reviews
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve requirements-related issues
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in business analysis / requirements engineering (systems + software)
- Strong knowledge of:
- Requirements elicitation, management, traceability , and change control
- Systems engineering principles
- Requirements management tooling (e.g., DOORS-type tools or equivalents)
Desirable
- Experience working in regulated development environments
- TOGAF and/or ArchiMate
- Exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) / digital engineering concepts
