Technical Business Analyst
- london, england, United Kingdom
- £85 - £110 Per Hour
Job Description
Technical Business Analyst — Electronic Trading, London - A leading international electronic trading firm is building out one of the highest-profile projects currently running in capital markets. Miller Maxwell is helping them find the Technical Business Analyst to sit at the centre of it — the link between engineering, product, and some of the firm's biggest clients.
This isn't a BA seat on a routine build. You'd be the person both sides — clients and engineers — come to when something needs translating: technical detail into business sense, and business need into a spec engineers can actually build against.
The Technical Business Analyst position:
- Work directly with clients to get to what they actually need, not just what they've asked for
- Partner with engineering, product, and sales to turn that into requirements that hold up under scrutiny
- Run several fast-moving workstreams in parallel without losing sight of the delivery goal
- Translate gnarly technical trade-offs into language non-technical stakeholders act on
Requirements for the Technical Business Analyst:
- STEM degree, 2:1 or above
- 5+ years as a Technical BA in financial services, specifically electronic trading — front-office, brokerage, exchange, ISV, software vendor, or market data
- Background in Equities or Fixed Income
- Enough Java, Python, or C++ familiarity to hold your own in an architecture discussion
- Stakeholder management that works equally well with senior leadership and engineers
Access to a project this size, this early, doesn't come up often. This is a global, well-funded team that treats BAs as strategic partners rather than ticket-writers, with real scope to grow as the programme scales. Know someone this fits, or want the full brief? Message the Miller Maxwell team.
