Technical Installation Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Technical Installation Engineer to join their forward-thinking team, with the flexibility to work remotely or on-site as needed across the Reading and wider Berkshire area. This role is focused on the precise installation and initial setup of sophisticated technical systems and equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring that all installations are performed to the highest standards of quality and safety, often working independently or with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with excellent technical aptitude and the ability to manage their workload efficiently in a hybrid capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure complex technical equipment and systems at various client locations.
• Conduct thorough testing and commissioning to verify functionality and performance post-installation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during the installation process.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and installation manuals.
• Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations and company standards.
• Provide clear and concise reports on installation progress and any challenges encountered.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Installation Engineer or in a similar technical installation role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively, with a hybrid approach to work.
• Must possess a valid UK driving license and be willing to travel within the Reading region.
