You will be responsible for overseeing the technical management of a fleet of yachts, working closely with Captains, Chief Engineers, crew, Yacht Managers, and the wider company to ensure each vessel is maintained and operated to the highest standards. Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure assigned yachts comply with Class, Flag State, regulatory, and company requirements.Maintain strong relationships with Captains, Chief Engineers, crew, Yacht Managers, and the company DPA to monitor the technical condition and performance of each yacht.Oversee technical maintenance across mechanical, electrical, safety, environmental, LSA, and navigational systems.Manage and support Planned Maintenance Systems, technical inspections, audits, and yacht visits, ensuring deficiencies are identified and resolved promptly.Provide technical advice and remote support to onboard teams, coordinating with contractors and service providers to resolve technical issues.Support technical purchasing, supplier management, invoice review, budgeting, and monitoring of technical expenditure.Assist with refit, drydock, and technical upgrade projects, from specification through to completion.Support emergency preparedness, 24/7 technical response, and the identification and mitigation of potential technical risks.Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company’s yacht management technical services. The Ideal Candidate: Shore-based experience as a Technical Manager, Technical Superintendent, or in a similar technical management role.Previous onboard experience in a senior engineering capacity.Yacht experience is preferred, however, candidates with relevant technical management experience across other passenger vessel types will also be considered.Strong technical knowledge across mechanical and electrical vessel systems.Experience with planned maintenance systems, technical inspections, audits, and regulatory compliance.Previous experience with shipyard refits, drydockings, or technical projects.Experience managing contractors, suppliers, purchasing, and technical budgets.Strong understanding of Class, Flag State, and regulatory requirements.Right to live and work in the UK.Willingness to travel regularly to visit the fleet.Dynamic, approachable, flexible, and able to work collaboratively with both onboard and shore-based teams.Generous salary based on experience and hybrid working.
