About the Role

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented Technical Sales Engineer to join their team in Reading . This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and sales acumen to support clients in understanding and implementing complex product solutions. You will work closely with the sales team to provide technical guidance, conduct product demonstrations, and ensure clients receive the optimal solution for their needs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical background who enjoys client interaction and problem-solving in a sales context, working on-site in our Reading facility.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with sales representatives to understand customer technical requirements and challenges.
Provide in-depth technical expertise on product features, capabilities, and applications.
Conduct compelling product demonstrations and proofs-of-concept for prospective clients.
Respond to technical queries and assist in the creation of technical proposals and documentation.
Offer pre-sales technical support, helping to qualify opportunities and build customer confidence.
Stay current with industry advancements and competitor technologies to provide informed solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Proven experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role.
Strong understanding of the technical aspects of our client's products or related technologies.
Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to tailor technical solutions to specific customer needs.
Willingness to work from our Reading office and travel as required for client engagements.
