We’re looking for an ambitious Technical Sales Manager to take ownership of the South West , driving growth across a portfolio of high-quality roofing, cladding fasteners and flat roofing solutions.

This is a genuinely hands-on, customer-facing role where you’ll have the freedom to develop your territory, build relationships and make a measurable impact.

The Role

You’ll become a trusted technical and commercial partner to customers across your region, identifying opportunities, providing solutions and developing long-term relationships.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Driving sales growth and achieving agreed turnover and profitability targets.
• Identifying and developing new business opportunities across the South West.
• Building relationships with roofing and cladding contractors, OEMs, distributors and other key industry stakeholders .
• Managing and developing key accounts, ensuring strong relationships and long‑term commercial partnerships.
• Providing technical and consultative sales support , helping customers identify the right products and solutions for their requirements.
• Building relationships across different levels and departments within customer organisations.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to maximise opportunities and deliver the best possible customer experience.
• Keeping a close eye on competitors, market developments and emerging opportunities within the roofing and cladding sector.
• Taking ownership of your territory and managing your diary, pipeline and customer activity effectively.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who combines technical understanding with commercial drive .

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience in technical sales, construction products or a related construction environment .
• Experience within roofing, cladding, fasteners or the wider building envelope sector would be a major advantage.
• A confident and engaging communication style, with the ability to build credibility with customers at all levels.
• A commercially minded approach and the ability to spot and develop new opportunities.
• Strong relationship-building skills and a genuine interest in understanding customers’ businesses.
• Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage a large geographical territory independently.
• A proactive, self‑motivated approach with the drive to win new business and grow existing accounts.
• Good attention to detail and confidence using CRM systems and managing sales administration.
