About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer to provide critical on-site and remote support for their advanced equipment installations and maintenance. You will be the frontline for resolving technical issues, ensuring that client operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a hands-on approach combined with strong analytical and communication skills, as you will be interacting directly with clients to diagnose and fix problems. Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site installations, maintenance, and repairs of complex equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues reported by clients, both remotely and in person.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and preventative maintenance checks.
- Provide technical training and guidance to client personnel on equipment operation and care.
- Document all service activities, parts used, and customer feedback accurately.
- Liaise with the engineering and product development teams to report technical issues and suggest improvements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technical Support Engineer , Field Service Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Strong customer service orientation and effective communication skills.
- A full, clean UK driving license is essential for site visits.
