About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Engineer to provide essential on-site support and maintenance for their sophisticated product lines in the Southampton area. This role is critical for ensuring customer satisfaction by resolving technical issues promptly and effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a strong aptitude for diagnostics, excellent communication skills, and a customer-centric approach. You will be the face of our client's technical expertise in the field, troubleshooting and repairing complex systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical assistance, diagnostics, and repairs for equipment and systems.
• Respond to service calls and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Accurately document all service activities, including diagnosis, actions taken, and parts used.
• Collaborate with the internal engineering and support teams to resolve escalated issues.
• Educate customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and best practices.

Requirements

• Experience in a similar Technical Support Engineer or Field Service role.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, or software-related issues.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic data.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective customer interaction.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage workload efficiently.
• Must hold a valid UK driving license and be comfortable travelling within the Southampton region.
