About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Technical Support Specialist to manage field operations and provide on-site technical assistance for their clients in and around Glasgow, Scotland . This critical role involves responding to service calls, performing complex repairs, and ensuring the optimal functioning of deployed systems. You will be the face of the company for many clients, requiring excellent technical proficiency coupled with strong customer service skills. The ideal candidate is a resourceful problem-solver, comfortable working independently in dynamic environments and committed to delivering high-quality support. Your efforts will directly impact client satisfaction and the reliability of our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and repair for equipment and systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance checks and service calls to ensure system reliability.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues encountered by clients.
- Install, configure, and test new equipment and upgrades at client locations.
- Maintain accurate service logs, parts usage, and detailed reports on all field activities.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and technical explanations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a technical support or field service role.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills related to mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and schematics.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be comfortable travelling within the Glasgow region.
- Proficiency with relevant diagnostic tools and software.
