The Role

As a Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing customer vehicles to a high standard, while ensuring vehicles are inspected and prepared safely and efficiently.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs
• Completing MOT tests to DVSA standards
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs
• Conducting vehicle health checks
• Carrying out road tests where required
• Identifying additional work and communicating findings clearly
• Completing repair orders accurately, including fault cause and rectification
• Working efficiently to agreed timescales and productivity targets
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and minimising repeat repairs
• Following manufacturer and company procedures
• Maintaining a clean, safe and professional working environment
• Looking after customer vehicles while they are in your care

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• Level 3 / NVQ or equivalent automotive qualification
• Current MOT Tester qualification
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic ability
• A good understanding of vehicle servicing and repair
• A full UK driving licence
• High standards of workmanship
• A proactive approach and good attention to detail
• The ability to work efficiently as part of a busy workshop team Franchise/dealership experience would be advantageous, although ongoing manufacturer training is available.
