VEHICLE TECHNICIAN
Location: Newcastle
Salary: OTE Up to £39,730 (Uncapped) | Basic Salary £31,000 - £34,000 (Depending on Qualifications)
Hours: 40 Hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm | 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:30am - 12:30pm

- PDI Technician - £36,655 Realistic Annual Earnings (Based on £28,000 Basic Salary)
- Vehicle Technician - £39,730 Realistic Annual Earnings (Based on £31,000 Basic Salary)
- Brand Qualified Technician - £42,445 Realistic Annual Earnings (Based on £34,000 Basic Salary + HVE Qualification)
- Senior / Diagnostic Technician - £45,885 Realistic Annual Earnings (Based on £38,000 Basic Salary + HVE Qualification)
- Master Technician - £51,156 Realistic Annual Earnings (Based on £43,000 Basic Salary + HVE Qualification)
THE ROLE
As a Vehicle Technician, you'll play a key role within the workshop, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs while ensuring every vehicle is completed to the highest manufacturer standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repair work
- Completing vehicle health checks using the latest diagnostic technology
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults
- Carrying out repairs efficiently and to manufacturer standards
- Identifying additional work and reporting findings accurately
- Completing workshop documentation and job cards
- Working collaboratively with the wider workshop team to maximise efficiency and productivity
- Delivering exceptional workmanship and first-class customer service
ABOUT YOU
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Vehicle Mechanic within the automotive industry
- Experience gained in either a franchised dealership or independent garage
- Strong servicing, maintenance, and diagnostic skills
- Previous Audi or Volkswagen Group experience is advantageous but not essential, as full manufacturer training will be provided
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence
