Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic
Location: Swindon Salary: Up to £36,000 DOE | OTE £45,000+ Uncapped Bonus Scheme Hours: Full-Time, Permanent
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic, Automotive Technician or Motor Vehicle Technician to join a busy workshop in Swindon. The Role
As a Vehicle Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to manufacturer standards, ensuring every vehicle is completed efficiently and right first time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
- Completing repairs to manufacturer standards
- Performing vehicle health checks and identifying additional work
- Completing warranty repairs and pre-delivery inspections
- Road testing vehicles where required
- Accurately completing workshop documentation and job cards
- Working closely with the wider workshop team to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping
About You
You'll ideally have:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- 3 Years Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic, Automotive Technician or Motor Vehicle Technician
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience working to manufacturer standards
- MOT Tester Licence desirable but not essential
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to your work
- A passion for delivering high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
