Technology M&A - Associate Director

We're supporting a specialist deal advisory firm as they continue to expand their Technology M&A capability.

This is a senior delivery role for someone who has real Technology M&A experience and wants to lead workstreams directly rather than sit several layers removed from clients and decision-making.

The organisation advises corporates, investors and portfolio companies across complex transactions, with a focus on due diligence, integrations, separations, carve-outs and value creation. Technology plays a central role in helping clients understand cost, risk, complexity and value throughout the deal lifecycle.

The Opportunity

You'll lead Technology M&A workstreams across live transactions, working directly with CIOs, CFOs and senior stakeholders.

This is not a PMO or coordination role. You'll be expected to build analysis, challenge assumptions, form recommendations and own client conversations.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading Technology M&A workstreams end-to-end
• Assessing technology environments, costs, risks and dependencies
• Supporting integration and separation planning
• Advising clients throughout the transaction lifecycle
• Contributing to business development and capability growth
• Working directly with senior business and technology stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• Proven Technology M&A experience on live transactions
• Experience leading or owning workstreams, particularly across integrations and separations
• Ability to analyse technology cost structures and understand financial implications
• Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable engaging with C-level executives and translating complex technical topics into clear business language
• Independent thinker who takes ownership and thrives in a high-autonomy environment
