Director – Technology Transformation (Strategic Advisory)
From £180,000 + Bonus
London (Hybrid)
A global advisory firm is looking to hire a Director to lead complex, large-scale technology transformation and modernisation programmes. This role requires a blend of technical depth, commercial awareness, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders, with experience across sectors such as Retail, Consumer, TMT, or Financial Services (Retail/FS preferred).
You must have a track record of leading technology advisory engagements within a consulting environment , ideally within a blue-chip consultancy.
You’ll help organisations maximise value from technology investments, spanning strategy, execution, and performance improvement.
What you’ll do as a Technology Transformation Director:
- Lead end-to-end transformation programmes from strategy through to delivery
- Advise clients on technology strategy, operating models, strategic architecture and cost optimisation
- Lead complex initiatives including IT due diligence, M&A, carve-outs, integration and programme recovery
- Support technology modernisation, including platform rationalisation, consolidation and re-platforming
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and drive business development
- Lead and develop consulting teams while contributing to internal capability and best practice
Your Background
- Proven track record delivering technology transformation and advisory engagements in consulting
- Experience across areas such as IT strategy, enterprise/strategic architecture, operating models, cost optimisation or programme delivery
- Experience with major, high-complexity programmes with significant strategic or commercial impact
- Strong stakeholder management, including C-suite engagement
- Sector experience in Retail or Financial Services is advantageous
- Commercially minded, analytical and comfortable operating in complex or time-critical environments
