Telecom Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Telecom Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their telecommunications network and services in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, UK . This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the seamless delivery of network services, managing a team of technical staff, and driving operational excellence. You will be crucial in maintaining network uptime, optimizing performance, and implementing efficient operational procedures. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the telecommunications operations team, providing guidance and support.
• Oversee the monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the company's network infrastructure.
• Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices to ensure network reliability and performance.
• Manage incident response and resolution processes to minimize service disruptions.
• Coordinate with other departments, including engineering and customer support, to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Track operational KPIs, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions for the South Yorkshire region.

Requirements

• Proven experience in telecommunications operations management or a similar leadership role.
• Strong technical understanding of telecommunications networks, including IP, MPLS, and wireless technologies.
• Experience in managing teams and fostering a high-performance work culture.
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools and operational support systems (OSS).
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant management certifications are a plus.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in the Sheffield region.
