Telecommunications Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Telecommunications Engineer to join their expanding operations, primarily focused on the Nottingham area. This role is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunication systems, including voice, data, and mobile infrastructure. You will ensure reliable communication services for our clients, working with cutting-edge technology to deliver robust solutions within the installation and maintenance sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission telecommunication equipment, including PBX systems, VoIP gateways, and mobile network infrastructure.
• Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on existing communication systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex faults related to voice and data transmission.
• Configure network devices and software to meet client requirements and ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to plan and design telecommunication solutions.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring a high level of service satisfaction.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Telecommunications Engineer or similar technical role.
• Strong understanding of networking principles, VoIP technologies, and mobile communication standards.
• Experience with configuring and troubleshooting relevant hardware and software platforms.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA Voice, CompTIA Network+) are advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and ability to work under pressure.
• Flexibility to travel within the Nottingham region and potentially further afield.
