About the Role

Our client is searching for a talented Telecommunications Engineer to join their innovative technology team, focusing on infrastructure deployment and maintenance across Scotland, with a primary base in Glasgow . This role involves the design, installation, and support of telecommunications networks, ensuring reliable connectivity for a wide range of clients. Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage telecommunications networks, including fiber optic and wireless systems.
Install and configure network hardware, such as routers, switches, and base stations.
Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for optimization.
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and service disruption.
Conduct site surveys and assessments for new network deployments.
Stay up-to-date with the latest telecommunications technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements

Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience in network design, deployment, and maintenance.
Proficiency with network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and configuration of network devices.
Experience with fiber optics and wireless communication technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills relevant to telecommunications infrastructure in Glasgow .
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid team.
