About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Telecommunications Solutions Architect to join their expanding technical division in Birmingham . This role is crucial for defining and leading the technical strategy for our telecommunications services and products. You will engage with clients and internal stakeholders to understand complex requirements and translate them into innovative, scalable, and cost-effective network and system designs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of current and emerging telecom technologies, coupled with the ability to architect end-to-end solutions that drive business value and operational excellence in the Birmingham area's fast-paced tech landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of advanced telecommunications solutions, covering voice, data, and mobile networks.
• Translate business needs and technical requirements into detailed solution designs and proposals.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, platforms, and vendors to enhance service offerings.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and sales teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring successful implementation of designed solutions.
• Conduct technical feasibility studies and proof-of-concept initiatives for innovative telecommunications services.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Extensive experience (7+ years) as a Solutions Architect within the telecommunications industry .
• Proven expertise in areas such as IP networking, mobile technologies (4G/5G), VoIP, and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and system integration.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions and influence decision-making.
