Our client is looking for a skilled Telecommunications Systems Administrator to manage and maintain their communication infrastructure in Derby . This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of voice and data communication systems, including VoIP, PBX, and mobile services. You will be responsible for system configuration, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and providing technical support to end-users. Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain VoIP systems , PBX, and other telecommunication platforms.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity, implementing adjustments as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to voice and data communications.
- Manage user accounts, extensions, and service configurations.
- Implement security measures to protect communication systems from unauthorized access.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users on telecommunication services.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator with a focus on telecommunications or voice systems.
- Hands-on experience with VoIP technologies, SIP, and PBX systems (e.g., Avaya, Cisco CallManager).
- Strong understanding of network protocols relevant to telecommunications.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for user support.
- Familiarity with mobile communication systems is an advantage for this role in Derby .
