Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain PBX systems, VoIP gateways, and mobile communication platforms.
- Monitor telecommunications network performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions.
- Manage user accounts, extensions, and calling features, ensuring accurate provisioning and de-provisioning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to telecommunications equipment and services.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for communication systems.
- Stay current with emerging telecommunications technologies and best practices to recommend system enhancements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in telecommunications systems administration, with a strong understanding of VoIP technologies.
- Proficiency in managing PBX systems (e.g., Avaya, Cisco, Asterisk) and related hardware.
- Familiarity with network protocols relevant to telecommunications, such as SIP, H.323, and RTP.
- Experience with troubleshooting communication hardware, software, and network connectivity problems.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage documentation and change logs effectively.
