Telecommunications Systems Installer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Systems Installer to join their team in Edinburgh . This role is crucial for the deployment and maintenance of voice and data communication systems, including fibre optic networks, PABX systems, and structured cabling solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring that installations are performed to the highest standards of quality and reliability, supporting critical business operations for our diverse clientele. The ideal candidate will be adept at working on-site, managing project timelines, and providing excellent technical support.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test fibre optic and copper cabling infrastructure.
• Configure and commission PABX, VoIP, and other telecommunication systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults in existing communication networks.
• Interpret telecommunication system drawings and specifications.
• Ensure all installations meet industry standards and client requirements.
• Provide technical assistance and support to clients post-installation.

Requirements

• Previous experience in installing and maintaining telecommunication systems.
• Knowledge of fibre optic splicing and testing equipment.
• Familiarity with PABX, VoIP technologies, and structured cabling standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage project tasks effectively.
• Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant industry certifications are a strong advantage.
