Telecoms Field Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a hands-on and customer-focused Telecoms Field Engineer to join their team in Bristol . You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment at customer premises and various site locations. This role requires excellent technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing outstanding service in the field. You will be an integral part of ensuring reliable connectivity for our diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission telecommunication systems, including broadband, VoIP, and mobile infrastructure components.
• Diagnose and resolve technical faults on customer equipment and network connections.
• Perform routine maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal system performance.
• Conduct site surveys and assess requirements for new installations.
• Provide on-site technical support and guidance to customers.
• Accurately document all work performed, including site details and issue resolution.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations on all work sites.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Field Engineer, Telecoms Technician, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of telecom equipment, cabling, and network principles.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and test equipment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a practical setting.
• Good customer service and communication abilities.
• Valid UK driving license and ability to travel to various locations.
