Our client is seeking a dedicated Telecoms Field Service Engineer to join their operational team based in Coventry . This role is essential for ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of telecommunications equipment at client sites across the region. You will be the frontline technical expert, responsible for installations, repairs, and proactive maintenance, directly impacting client satisfaction and network uptime. This is a hands-on role perfect for an individual who enjoys problem-solving in diverse environments and takes pride in delivering high-quality technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain a variety of telecoms hardware and software at customer locations.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to broadband, fibre optics, and mobile network infrastructure.
- Conduct regular site surveys and preventative maintenance checks to ensure equipment longevity.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring a positive service experience.
- Document all service activities, including repairs, installations, and client interactions, using company systems.
- Respond to emergency service calls as required to address critical network disruptions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Field Service Engineer or similar technical support role within the telecoms industry.
- Strong understanding of fibre optic and copper cabling technologies.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing network equipment faults.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
- Must possess a valid UK driving license and a willingness to travel extensively.
