About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure at customer sites. Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission telecommunications equipment, including routers, modems, and customer premises equipment (CPE).
• Perform routine maintenance checks and diagnostic tests to ensure optimal network performance and identify potential issues.
• Respond promptly to service calls, diagnosing and resolving technical faults in a timely and efficient manner.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies while working on customer premises and in the field.
• Provide clear and concise technical support and guidance to customers regarding their telecommunications services.
• Maintain accurate records of all service calls, installations, and repairs performed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a telecoms or IT support role, preferably with field service experience.
• Strong understanding of broadband technologies (DSL, Fibre, Coax) and related equipment.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and test equipment for fault finding.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
• A valid UK driving license is essential for travel to various customer locations in and around Newcastle upon Tyne .
