About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and customer-focused Telecoms Field Technician to join their operational team based in Glasgow . In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and services at customer premises and network sites. You will be the face of our company to our clients, ensuring high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and test telecommunications equipment, including routers, modems, set-top boxes, and fibre optic termination points.
- Perform routine maintenance and diagnostic checks on network infrastructure and customer premises equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in telecommunications lines and equipment, both indoors and outdoors.
- Provide clear and effective technical support and guidance to customers during installations and service calls.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company procedures at all times.
- Complete accurate service reports and maintain inventory of equipment and tools.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a field technician in the telecommunications or IT industry.
- Strong understanding of broadband technologies (DSL, Cable, Fibre) and home networking concepts.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for fault finding and testing.
- Excellent practical skills in installation, wiring, and termination.
- Valid UK driving license and a good driving record.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
