Telecoms Installation Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Telecoms Installation Engineer to join their operational team in Liverpool . This role is crucial for the successful deployment of telecommunications systems and equipment at various client sites. You will be responsible for the physical installation, configuration, and testing of network hardware, including cabling, routers, switches, and antennas. The ideal candidate will have a practical understanding of network infrastructure and a commitment to delivering high-quality installations. This is a hands-on role requiring travel within the Merseyside region and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure telecommunications hardware, including structured cabling, network devices, and associated equipment.
• Perform physical installations of antennas, fiber optic cables, and other network infrastructure components.
• Test installed systems and equipment to ensure proper functionality, connectivity, and performance according to specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues encountered during the installation process.
• Ensure all installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of installation work, including site surveys, completed tasks, and any encountered challenges.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar role, such as Telecoms Installation Engineer , Network Installer, or Cabling Technician.
• Good understanding of telecommunications hardware, cabling standards (e.g., Cat5e/6/6a), and network connectivity.
• Familiarity with basic network protocols and concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation guides.
• Strong practical skills, attention to detail, and a methodical approach to work.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel to various work sites.
