About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Telecoms Installation Technician to join their growing team in Brighton . This role is essential for the setup and deployment of telecommunications equipment and services for residential and business customers. You will be responsible for installing hardware, configuring systems, and ensuring seamless integration with the network. This hybrid role offers a mix of field-based work and some time spent at the local depot or office in Brighton for planning and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically adept, and enjoys problem-solving in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure telecommunications equipment, including routers, modems, and integrated systems, at customer premises.
• Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and connectivity.
• Educate customers on the use and features of their new telecommunications services.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and inventory using company systems.
• Respond to service calls and resolve technical issues reported by customers in a timely manner.
• Adhere to company safety standards and best practices during all installations and service visits.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a telecoms installation or technical support role is preferred.
• Familiarity with telecommunications hardware, including broadband, Wi-Fi, and VoIP systems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and basic IT troubleshooting.
• A valid UK driving license is required for travel to customer sites.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, as needed.
