Telecoms Network Administrator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Telecoms Network Administrator to manage and maintain their telecommunications infrastructure in Bristol . This role is essential for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the network, including monitoring system performance, performing routine maintenance, and responding to user support requests. You will be responsible for the integrity, security, and efficiency of the network. This hybrid role allows for collaborative work in the office and focused, independent work remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the company's telecommunications network, including PBX systems, VoIP, and data network components.
• Monitor network performance and security, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.
• Perform regular system backups and ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
• Provide technical support to end-users for telecommunications-related issues.
• Install, configure, and upgrade network hardware and software as required.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, procedures, and user guides.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant security policies and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role, with a focus on telecommunications systems.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
• Experience with VoIP technologies and PBX systems.
• Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
