Telecoms Network Administrator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and skilled Telecoms Network Administrator to manage and maintain their critical telecommunications network in Oxford . This hybrid role combines on-site responsibilities with remote system oversight, ensuring the smooth operation of essential communication services. You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the network infrastructure, supporting internal users and external clients. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator to contribute to a vital technological backbone within a respected organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain the company's telecommunications network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and PBX systems.
• Perform regular system checks, update software, and implement security patches to ensure network integrity.
• Respond to and resolve network issues, incidents, and user support requests in a timely manner.
• Manage network user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of network upgrades and changes.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, including configurations, diagrams, and inventory.

Requirements

• Experience in network administration, with a specific focus on telecoms infrastructure.
• Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting network hardware and software.
• Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network security principles.
• Experience with PBX systems, VoIP technologies, and other communication platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team, with hybrid working flexibility.
