Telecoms Network Administrator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive Telecoms Network Administrator to manage and maintain their vital network infrastructure. This fully remote role is perfect for an individual with a strong grasp of network operations and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the company's telecommunications network, including monitoring system performance, performing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting technical issues. This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment focused on maintaining high network availability and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues across the telecommunications network.
• Perform routine system maintenance, including software updates, patches, and configuration backups.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to network resources.
• Respond to and resolve technical support requests related to network services.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Assist in the implementation of network upgrades and new installations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar IT support role.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Familiarity with common network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
