About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly innovative and experienced Telecoms Network Architect with a focus on cloud-native solutions to join their fully remote team, leveraging expertise from the Oxford region. This senior role is pivotal in designing and evolving our client's next-generation telecommunications infrastructure, embracing microservices, containerization, and modern cloud principles. Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect robust, scalable, and highly available cloud-native network solutions for telecommunications services.
- Define standards and best practices for deploying and managing network functions in containerized environments (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Evaluate and select appropriate cloud technologies, microservices frameworks, and network orchestration platforms.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure the successful implementation and lifecycle management of network architectures.
- Provide technical leadership and strategic guidance on cloud networking and service virtualization.
- Develop roadmaps for migrating existing network services to cloud-native platforms.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (8+ years) as a Network Architect or Senior Network Engineer, with a strong emphasis on cloud-native technologies.
- Deep understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their networking services.
- Expertise in telecommunications protocols and service delivery models.
- Experience with network function virtualization (NFV) and software-defined networking (SDN).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills in a remote setting.
