About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative Telecoms Network Automation Engineer to drive the adoption of automation technologies within their network operations in Nottingham . This role is essential for enhancing network efficiency, reducing manual errors, and accelerating service delivery through software-defined approaches. You will develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline network provisioning, configuration, and management tasks. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for network configuration, provisioning, and management using scripting and programming languages.
• Develop and maintain Network as Code (NaC) practices and tools.
• Integrate network devices and systems with automation platforms and orchestration tools.
• Automate network monitoring, alerting, and reporting processes.
• Collaborate with network engineers and operations teams to identify automation opportunities and requirements.
• Troubleshoot and debug automation scripts and workflows, ensuring their reliability and effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on automation.
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python , Ansible, or Perl.
• Experience with network automation tools and frameworks (e.g., NetConf, REST APIs).
• Solid understanding of network protocols and infrastructure (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
