Telecoms Network Operations Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a vigilant and analytical Telecoms Network Operations Analyst to join their remote operations center team, supporting networks across the UK. This critical role involves monitoring the health and performance of the company's telecommunications infrastructure 24/7, identifying and responding to incidents, and ensuring optimal network uptime. You will play a key part in maintaining service levels and proactively addressing potential issues before they impact customers. The successful candidate will be highly observant, possess strong technical acumen, and thrive in a fast-paced, remote-working environment where rapid response and clear communication are paramount.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor network performance and system health using sophisticated monitoring tools.
• Detect, diagnose, and respond to network incidents and alarms in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform initial troubleshooting and escalate complex issues to senior engineers or relevant teams.
• Document all incidents, actions taken, and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.
• Analyze network traffic patterns and system logs to identify performance bottlenecks and security threats.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of operational procedures and best practices.

Requirements

• Experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment or similar technical support role.
• Good understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with network monitoring software (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios) is essential.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective incident reporting.
