Telecoms Network Operations Centre (NOC) Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant Telecoms Network Operations Centre (NOC) Analyst to join their monitoring and support team in Brighton . In this critical role, you will be responsible for the real-time monitoring of network performance, identifying and responding to system alerts, and initiating troubleshooting procedures to ensure minimal disruption to services. You will work as part of a shift-based team, providing essential support to maintain the stability and availability of our client's extensive telecommunications network. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network infrastructure, systems, and applications for performance issues and outages using specialized NOC tools.
• Respond to network alerts and alarms, diagnosing and documenting incidents according to defined procedures.
• Initiate troubleshooting steps, escalate complex issues to senior engineers or relevant support teams.
• Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance tasks as directed.
• Maintain accurate logs of all activities, incidents, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and, where necessary, external partners regarding network status.

Requirements

• Experience working in a Network Operations Centre (NOC) or a similar IT support environment.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds) and basic networking concepts.
• Understanding of telecoms infrastructure, including IP networks and common protocols.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, essential for a hybrid role.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends as part of a rotation.
