About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Telecoms Network Operations Engineer to join their critical operations team based in Plymouth, Devon . This role is essential for ensuring the continuous availability, performance, and security of our telecommunications network infrastructure. You will be responsible for monitoring network health, responding to incidents, performing routine maintenance, and implementing network changes. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and availability using established monitoring tools.
• Respond to network alerts and incidents, performing troubleshooting and resolution in a timely manner.

• Perform routine network maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system health.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and incident reports accurately.
• Collaborate with other engineering and support teams to resolve complex network issues.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and operational standards within the telecoms network .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in network operations or a similar technical role within the telecoms industry .
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Understanding of core networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure, based in Plymouth .
