About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Telecoms Network Operations Manager to lead their global network operations center (NOC) from a remote location. This role is critical for ensuring the continuous availability, performance, and security of our client's extensive telecommunications network. You will manage a team of skilled NOC engineers, implement best practices for incident management, and drive operational excellence across all network services. As a manager in a remote-first company, you will foster a collaborative team environment and leverage technology to maintain seamless communication and efficient operations, ensuring our client's services remain robust and reliable.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a global team of network operations engineers, providing guidance and support.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the telecom network , including monitoring, incident detection, and resolution.
- Develop and implement robust processes for incident management, problem management, and change management.
- Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance network stability, performance, and efficiency.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing network operations teams, preferably in the telecommunications sector.
- Strong understanding of network monitoring tools, fault management, and performance analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of core network technologies, protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with ITIL frameworks and best practices for service management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams and operations in a fully remote setting.
