About the Role
Our client is looking for a strategic and results-oriented Telecoms Network Operations Manager to lead their network operations center (NOC) in Edinburgh . This key leadership role is responsible for ensuring the continuous availability, performance, and security of the company's telecommunications network infrastructure. You will manage a team of skilled engineers, overseeing daily operations, incident response, and the implementation of operational improvements. This is an excellent opportunity to shape the operational strategy of a growing telecom provider and ensure best-in-class service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Network Operations Center (NOC) team, providing direction, support, and performance management.
- Oversee the monitoring of telecom network performance, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact service.
- Develop and implement robust incident management and problem management processes.
- Ensure network security protocols are maintained and adhered to by the operations team.
- Manage vendor relationships for network monitoring tools and operational support systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the NOC to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in network operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role within the telecom sector .
- Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and telecommunications technologies.
- Proven experience with network monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting tools.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and make critical decisions during outages.
