About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Telecoms Network Operations Manager to lead their network operations center (NOC) in Bristol . This role is pivotal in ensuring the continuous availability, performance, and security of their extensive telecommunications network. You will manage a team of skilled engineers, drive operational excellence, and implement strategies to maintain robust service delivery. This position offers a hybrid working model , combining essential team collaboration in Bristol with remote flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Network Operations Center (NOC) team, fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the telecom network , ensuring high availability and service quality.
- Develop and implement operational procedures, performance metrics, and incident management processes.
- Manage network monitoring tools, identify potential issues, and coordinate response efforts for network incidents.
- Collaborate with engineering and planning teams to facilitate network upgrades and new service deployments.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements within network operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in network operations, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure, protocols, and common telecom technologies .
- Proven experience in incident management, problem-solving, and root cause analysis.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Experience with NOC tools and systems for monitoring and management.
