About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Telecoms Network Operations Manager to lead their Network Operations Centre (NOC) in Bristol . You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the network, ensuring its stability, performance, and security. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of network operations, incident management, and team leadership within the challenging telecoms sector . You will drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage a team of skilled professionals, and ensure the seamless delivery of services to customers across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of the company's telecommunications network infrastructure , ensuring maximum uptime and performance.
- Manage the Network Operations Centre (NOC) team, providing leadership, setting performance targets, and fostering professional development.
- Implement and refine incident management processes, ensuring rapid detection, diagnosis, and resolution of network faults.
- Develop and enforce operational policies, procedures, and best practices for network monitoring and management.
- Collaborate with other departments, including Engineering, IT, and Customer Support, to ensure integrated service delivery.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee the performance of outsourced network operations support where applicable.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network operations management, with a strong background in the telecoms industry .
- Proven experience managing teams and leading operations in a 24/7 environment.
- In-depth knowledge of network monitoring tools, protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
