About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and proactive Telecoms Network Operations Specialist to join their dedicated team in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire . This role is essential for the continuous monitoring, maintenance, and support of our client's vital telecommunications network. You will be responsible for ensuring network stability, responding to incidents, and implementing routine operational tasks to uphold service quality. This is a hands-on position within a critical infrastructure environment, offering a great opportunity to gain in-depth experience in network operations and contribute to the reliable delivery of communication services.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and availability using established tools and dashboards.
• Respond to network alerts and incidents, performing initial troubleshooting and escalation as needed.
• Perform routine network maintenance, including software updates and configuration changes.
• Document network events, operational procedures, and incident reports.
• Collaborate with the engineering and support teams to resolve complex network issues.
• Ensure adherence to operational level agreements (SLAs) and company policies.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or similar role within the telecoms industry.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and basic networking concepts.
• Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as required for operational coverage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Commitment to working in our Stoke-on-Trent facility.
