About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous Telecoms Network Planner to join their strategic planning team in Reading . Operating within a hybrid work structure, you will be responsible for forecasting network capacity needs, planning network expansion, and ensuring the efficient allocation of resources to meet current and future demands. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, technical understanding of telecommunications networks, and foresight to anticipate growth and technological shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze network traffic data and usage patterns to forecast future capacity requirements.
• Develop long-term and short-term network expansion plans, identifying optimal locations for new infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure plans are technically feasible and cost-effective.
• Create detailed network designs and diagrams for proposed expansions and upgrades.
• Evaluate new technologies and their potential impact on network planning and capacity.
• Prepare reports and presentations for management outlining network development strategies and resource needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in telecom network planning or a related role involving capacity management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Good understanding of telecommunications network infrastructure, including wireless and fixed-line technologies.
• Proficiency with network planning tools and mapping software.
