About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous Telecoms Network Planner to join their expanding team in Nottingham . In this vital role, you will be responsible for planning the deployment and expansion of telecommunications networks, ensuring optimal coverage and capacity to meet current and future demands. You will conduct site surveys, analyze network data, and create detailed deployment plans for various infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed network deployment plans, including fibre optic routes, tower locations, and equipment placement.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site acquisition surveys for new network infrastructure.
• Analyze network traffic data and capacity requirements to inform expansion strategies.
• Prepare detailed drawings, maps, and technical documentation for network build-outs.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
• Liaise with local authorities and property owners regarding permits and access rights.

Requirements

• Experience in network planning or a related field within the telecommunications industry.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including fibre optics, wireless technologies, and associated equipment.
• Proficiency in using GIS software (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS) and CAD tools for network design and mapping.
• Ability to conduct site surveys and assess technical feasibility.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience working within the Nottingham area or East Midlands is advantageous for this role.
